SÜSS came to fruition through an important relationship. The word translates from German to ‘sweet’, a nod to our founder’s German heritage. All too often, ‘sweet’ is a word associated with unhealthy eating and guilty snacking. We want to change that. Here at SÜSS, we believe in being kinder to ourselves and not denying our bodies the sweet pleasures we crave. What's more, nature is so abundant in naturally vibrant flavours and colours, there is no need for anything artificial. That's why we pride ourselves on using seasonal, natural, and organic ingredients to provide our signature guilt-free treats, allowing you to cut down on sugar while indulging your appetite.
As a society, the importance of self-care, living minimally and treating ourselves in a mindful way has vastly increased. We are committed to celebrating our valued community by offering delectable treats that are not only good for the soul but for the planet — so you can have your cake and eat it too.
Our delivery service invites curious palates to try something new, but our cake studio takes this to the next level. Bringing a new approach to luxury catering, we work collaboratively with clients to craft memorable experiences through bespoke natural dessert tables. If you’re planning a get-together or special event, our made-to-order pieces satisfy every palate.

Julia Aden
FOUNDER and Head baker
After starting off a career in educational science and social work, Julia was destined to step into the world of artisanal baking. Her baking career began in Germany where she was appointed kitchen manager, but her fascination with the sweet treats of London lead her to work in renowned bakeries such as Violet Cakes and Baked by Steph. Now, Julia has decided to take the leap and open her online cake studio in East London.

We want to name WORM London’s Terri and Katie. Back in August 2020, they offered Julia a mentorship as a result of the Black Lives Matter movement. Their incredible desire to reach out and offer help to a small business startup has resulted in some amazing advice and guidance for the growth of Süss.
We feel so grateful for having them in our circle and can’t wait to see more Süss cake and Worm flower creations coming alive.
